Introduction

**Prof. Madya Dr. Muhamad Yusri Musa** is a distinguished Medical Lecturer and **Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist** at the Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI), Universiti Sains Malaysia. With a robust specialty in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, he has made significant strides in the management and treatment of head and neck cancers, focusing particularly on nasopharyngeal carcinoma and brachytherapy for tongue cancer. Dr. Yusri has been instrumental in establishing the Sleep Laboratory service and running the Allergy/Skin Prick Test clinic at his institute, underscoring his commitment to advancing patient care and medical research.

Dr. Yusri's academic journey began at Universiti Sains Malaysia, where he earned his M.D. and later completed his specialist training in 2010. His scholarly excellence is highlighted by numerous awards, including the prestigious Karl-Storz award in 2010 and the USM Maal Hijrah Incentive award in 2016. As a former Deputy Director (Clinical Services) at AMDI, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the institute's clinical and research capabilities, particularly in oncology and nuclear medicine.

Beyond his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Yusri has made notable contributions to the medical community through his leadership and research. He is a member and former head of the Cluster of Oncology and Radiological Sciences at USM, spearheading research initiatives in clinical and molecular oncology. His work has been published in numerous national and international journals, and he has been involved in several bio-equivalent and phase 3 clinical trials. Furthermore, as the President of the Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia (IMAM), Dr. Yusri actively participates in humanitarian missions, reflecting his dedication to serving the community both locally and internationally. His leadership in establishing the only brachytherapy training centre in Southeast Asia for head and neck cancer, recognized by BrachyAcademy, underscores his role as a pioneer in his field.
