Biography

I am currently working as a Occupational Health Doctor at Megaklinik Zahran, Bandar
Baru Bangi. I was previously a General Practitioner at Klinik WeCare Desa Melawati
Kuala Lumpur and a Medical Officer in Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Tuanku
Jaafar Seremban. I graduated from UiTM Medical School. I previously had a deep
interest in pursuing my ambition to become a physician, sat for MRCP (UK) part 1 but
was unsuccessful on my first time.

I started off my medical career as a houseman in Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban,
Negeri Sembilan. As a house officer, I went through 5 compulsory postings
(Medical,Surgical,Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedic,Paediatric) and 1 elective
posting (Emergency Medicine) in a span of 2 years (4 months per posting). I had the
experience to do ward work , on-call and clinic/daycare sessions on a weekly basis. It is
during this period I completed my Basic Life Support program and Pediatric Life Support
program.

I subsequently worked in the Medical Department, Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban as
a Medical Officer in General Medicine where I was in-charged of managing acute
patients, receiving referrals, doing on-calls, clerking cases, assessing and managing
patients from various subspecialty (Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Neurology,
Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Palliative, Geriatric, Infectious Disease,
Cardiology). As a Medical Officer we also conduct teaching and sharing sessions with
our house officer for us to improve and to learn together. On a weekly basis, our
department conducts Continuous Medical Education (CME) and also journal review.

I was then transferred to Hospital Sungai Buloh to join the team in fighting the pandemic
in October 2020. I was given the task to assess COVID patients from various
categories, managing COVID patients with the Infectious Disease team. From time to
time, we would have CME for updating our knowledge to treat and manage COVID-19
patients according to the newest guideline and also to learn more about COVID-19.

I then moved to the private sector and worked as a General Practitioner in Klinik
WeCare Desa Melawati, Kuala Lumpur. On a daily basis, I would see patients treating
non-communicable diseases , assess and manage patients and do minor surgery for
patients who come to the clinic. Referrals to hospitals are done if patients have acute
emergencies that require hospital management.
