Introduction

Dato Dr. Musa Mohd Nordin is a distinguished paediatrician and neonatologist based in Malaysia. Currently serving as a consultant at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital in Petaling Jaya, he has earned multiple prestigious qualifications including MBBCh (Wales), MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin), FAMM (Mal), and FRCPCH (UK). Throughout his career, Dr. Nordin has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to both medical excellence and humanitarian causes. In 2014, he founded IMARET (IMAM Response & Relief Team), an organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and relief during disasters. He also established Rumah Solehah, a shelter for women and children living with HIV/AIDS, and serves as an on-call paediatrician for OrphanCare, an NGO that set up Malaysia's first baby hatch.

Dr. Nordin's contributions to paediatric care have been widely recognized. He received the Outstanding Asian Paediatrician Award from the Asia Pacific Paediatric Association in 2012 and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award from the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations in 2017. Under his guidance, IMARET won the Star Golden Hearts Award in 2020. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Nordin is passionate about public health advocacy and expanding access to healthcare for marginalized communities. He regularly conducts outreach health services for refugees, children in kampungs, and Orang Asli settlements, with a particular focus on promoting immunization. Dr. Nordin's professional philosophy centers on evidence-based public health practices, inspiring young healthcare workers, and empowering underserved communities through health education and access to basic healthcare services. His multifaceted career exemplifies a dedication to improving children's health and well-being both in clinical settings and through broader social initiatives.
