Introduction

Dr Ahmad Yusuf Bin Yahaya holds a medical degree from Odessa State Medical University and currently works as a senior lecturer at the School of Medicine, Taylor's University, Petaling Jaya. As a humanitarian activist, he leads as the Chief Coordinator for IMAM Response & Relief Team (IMARET), actively involved in both international and local relief endeavours. He is also holding the post of treasurer for Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia – IMAM since 2014.

His role involves coordinating relief efforts worldwide and within local communities since 2005, demonstrating his commitment to humanitarian aid and medical service. Internationally, he has been pivotal in earthquake relief in Turkey (2023), aiding in refugee crises in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh (2017-2018), and post-tsunami relief in Aceh, Indonesia (2005). His other contributions include during COVID-19 relief efforts (2020-2022), COVID-19 vaccination outreach for interior orang asli (2021), flood relief since 2013, and many more.

Dr. Yusuf is deeply involved in managing, coordinating, and volunteering in various medical outreach programs with IMARET, focusing on rural Orang Asli communities, and refugees in Malaysia. His diverse contributions embody a commitment to humanitarian aid and medical service, not only as volunteers on the ground but also as a leader coordinating at the background, reflecting his dedication to alleviating suffering and improving healthcare access globally and locally.
